The Innocence Gambit

Windsor Wesseli has an impossible task, to prove his innocence before time runs out. There’s a problem though: he doesn’t remember whether he committed the crime or not.

He knows one thing though. If the cops never caught him while he was in the game, they sure as hell wouldn’t catch him now.

In this hardboiled noir the streets are fraught with danger, with parts of the city even the dirtiest of cops won’t enter at night. Windsor has to find fractured clues to a puzzle that’s been years in the making before even more of his old friends and colleagues find themselves sleeping with the fishes.

Franz Mannsfeld, a private investigator, is the only man willing to take his case, but Wesseli can’t be sure that they’re on the same side when there seems to be some hidden figure pulling all the strings.

Trawling the darkest depths of a crime-riddled city, Wesseli faces secrets and deception at every turn. And the deeper he digs, the more he realizes that finding the truth won’t be easy. Because there’s more to this case than meets the eye.
